Broadley Speaking was founded in 1997 by Hilary Broadley, following nearly 40 years in sales leadership across the fast-paced media and publishing world, including senior roles with Emap and Blenheim. It was during this period that Hilary coined the term **“Intelligent Sales”** - recognising early that sustainable growth comes from insight-led engagement, meaningful relationships, and understanding how buyers really make decisions.

From day one, the business was built around this philosophy. That thinking shaped the DNA of Broadley Speaking: placing the prospect at the centre, prioritising quality over volume, and building long-term value through intelligent, connected sales activity.
